早期一档董卿主持的节目《朗读者》让许渊冲师长西席的名字家喻户晓。96岁的翻译界泰斗情绪充足得宛如激情澎湃的年轻人，说到动情处仍会情不自禁，热泪盈眶。瞬间上了热搜榜，圈粉无数。
许渊冲师长西席：翻译家，翻的是什么？唐诗宋词莎士比亚等共150多部。
2010年，许渊冲得到中国翻译协会颁发的“翻译文化终生造诣奖”。
2014年8月2日许渊冲荣获国际翻译界最高奖项之一的“北极光”精彩文学翻译奖 ，系首位获此殊荣亚洲翻译家。
他统统的标签看上去都是高大上的，都是间隔我们很远。但他却在节目中冲动了在场所有不雅观众和无数网友，由于终极会打动人心一定不是光环，而是情怀。
许老说：“翻译，不能按字翻，字面上的意思都对，但感情不一定对。”
